Welcome to Shorter University!

When I was looking for a college, I wasn't looking for a big school where I would feel like I didn’t belong. I wanted a school I knew I could call my home away from home. The first moment I walked on the Shorter campus I knew this was where I wanted to be. Shorter is not just a place where I take classes—it’s my home! Shorter's faculty and staff treat you like family. I can honestly say the faculty and staff at Shorter genuinely care about students. As a Christian college, Shorter reinforces your Christian beliefs, but professors don't push their beliefs onto you. Professors really allow you to understand why you may believe a certain way, and I can personally say I've grown so much through that experience. And while college may be about making good grades, Shorter also gives students opportunities to be involved on campus.  I'm involved in Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Panhellenic Council, and Shorter Relations Society. Shorter is a place to not only learn by the books but also learn about yourself and God’s plan for your life.
